Accsess:
Put in: Corsock Bridge on the A712
Take out : 1. Bridge at Knockvennie (to lap top section) 2. A75 road bridge layby on east boud side
Description:
A wave right under the bridge at the put-in is great to warm up on. Easy but continuos water leads to a small weir, more similar water leads to a tight left hand bend with an eddie river right, the next rapid is a little tougher and is worth a look. This wee fall is known locally as the Seat.
A long rapid that is easily seen from the road on the drive up, is the hight light when the water is high! keep an eye out for the tree growing in the main line on the second ramp, if you catch the edie on the right it’s easily avoided
From hear keep an eye out for any surf waves. Once you pass under the bridge an Knocviney there is a Jungle sections though some bushes, there is a route though just stay towards the middle!
As you approach old bridge of Urr there is an other slightly harder rapid, run left of centre another two surf wave hear are reliable. The river has one more play hole on the river right with a good feeder eddie big enough to spin your creeker.
Exit left just before the old road bridge and use the steeps up to the laby
